You watch your team lose 1-0, create six clear chances, and hit the post twice. The table says you lost. You know better.
We built something that agrees with you.
What it does
On Paper runs one statistical model across 17 European leagues. It looks at what teams actually do, not just what the scoreline says, and works out how good they really are.
Sometimes it agrees with the table. Sometimes it says your club is far better than 14th, or that the side sitting third has been getting away with murder.
Who's behind it
I played football growing up. Now I'm a software engineer who spends too long looking at numbers, and I got tired of league tables telling me things I could see weren't true.
This started as me arguing with a league table and turned into something worth sharing.
One rule
Football has enough people telling you they know.
This is the version that shows its working. Every projection is scored against what actually happened, and the whole record is open.
If the model says something daft about your club, tell me. That's half the point.
